Kavita Katti, Lead Scientist, in the Department of Radiology and Institute of Green Nanotechnology, University of Missouri Medical School is an internationally renowned scientist with over 30 years of research and product development experience in the fields of Radiopharmaceuticals, Nanoradiopharmaceuticals, Green Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine-all intended for use in diagnostics and therapy of cancer and various other debilitating discuses.

Kavita has made internationally recognized contributions with over 100 publications and over 25 patents and inventions in biomedical sciences including Nanomedicine, Nano Ayurvedic Medicine and in Radiopharmaceuticals (labeling diagnostic (Tc-99m) isotope with tumor specific peptides-for use in imaging of various tumors). Her seminal contributions in the fields interconnecting green nanotechnology with Ayurvedic Medicine laid the foundations for the discovery of a new medical modality called as Nano Ayurvedic Medicine.

She has pioneered the development of varieties of Ayurvedic-relevant nanoparticles including gold and silver nanoparticles using phytochemicals from Cumin, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Cloves and a host of Ayurvedically relevant herbs. Several products from a myriad of functionalized Gold and Silver Nanoparticles are being used in cancer treatment and in the treatment of deadly infections including COVID.

Kavitha has published over 100 publications and presentations in numerous National and International Conferences. she is an inventor/co-inventor on over 25 issued /filled patents.Kavita has been recently recognized with the coveted 'INGRAM's 50 MISSOURIANS YOU SHOULD KNOW AWARD (2018)'-for her groundbreaking contributions in medical sciences.
